Description
Description | This Slate of projects proposed by the French company TEMPS NOIR, which has been producing creative and committed documentaries for nearly twenty years, includes five very different projects, united by their artistic ambition and their international profile: - WHO KILLED SANKARA? is the 5th feature documentary by Danish director Mads Brügger, known for The Ambassador (opening film at IDFA 2012) or Cold Case Hammarskjöld (World cinema directing award Sundance 2019). From Burkina Faso to the Ivory Coast, from Cuba to the United States and from Russia to France, he investigates those responsible for the assassination, in 1987, of the man who was called the African Che Guevara. - GIVEN NO CHANCE is our first documentary intended for a platform. In 1968, nine adventurers attempt to become the first navigator to sail around the world, solo and non-stop. A radical adventure which quickly turns into a real odyssey. - GALUT - HISTORY OF THE JEWS IN EUROPE, a documentary series by Ilan Ziv, is a historical epic that will offer a new and original perspective on the Diaspora, showing how the Diaspora is not the periphery of the Hebrew state but in fact the center of Judaism and how it has played a crucial role in the construction of European identity. - ON BOARD: after “Tomorrow is so Far”, a film that had a great impact, Muriel Cravatte remains moved by the ever so urgent issue of migrants. She will film inside the Shelter, the room for women and children only, onboard the Ocean Viking ship that rescues refugees in distress in the Mediterranean Sea. - THE HUNT FOR RADOVAN KARADZIC: this great geopolitical documentary, which looks back on the 13 years of tracking down Radovan Karadzic to bring him before the ICTY, brings together all the ingredients of a political and geopolitical thriller. How and why, in a small territory occupied by the three most powerful armies in the Western world, was Karadzic able to escape justice for so many years? |
