Description | Tennessee State University is constructing a nearly 70,000 square foot state-of-the-art engineering facility on its main campus in Nashville. The $60 million academic building will feature over 30 teaching and research laboratories, maker and prototyping spaces, computer labs, and a centralized academic leadership hub. It is designed to foster immersive, hands-on learning and interdisciplinary innovation, with an open atrium as the heart of student interaction. The building includes adaptive learning labs, a welcome center, classrooms, teaching labs, and research labs covering fields such as Robotics, Drone Flight, Mechatronics, and Transportation Simulation. The project is funded by the State of Tennessee and is scheduled for occupancy by the start of the 2027/2028 academic year. |
