Description

Description

This project consists of the first stage of development of a hybrid renewable energy complex Tenevo with capacity of 237.58 MW, which involves solar park with wind turbines and energy storage modules. The solar part of the project alone could generate enough clean electricity to cover the annual consumption of 100,000 households. A grid connection has already been secured for the battery storage subproject, and is planned to be connected to a 400 kV transmission line. Total investment stands at approx. $133.48 (€125) million. The project company is EURA IPP, a joint venture between the Danish company Eurowind Energy and the Vienna-based Renalfa IPP. Construction started on September 19, 2023, and is expected to be fully operational in early 2025. In its next phase, the project is planned to include wind turbines with a capacity of over 250 MW and batteries with a capacity of 250 MW/500 MWh. https://renalfa.com/403-2/#contact https://balkangreenenergynews.com/construction-works-start-on-bulgarias-first-hybrid-power-plant/ https://x.realfin.com/transaction/204655/tenovo-renewable-energy-hub-phase-i-23758mw-ipp
