Description | The project involves the expansion of Termoyopal Generación 2 and Central Termoeléctrica El Morro gas-fired power plants, located in Yopal, Colombia. The total capacity will be expanded with 40MW from 110MW to 150MW via additional gas turbines purchased from General Electric. Termoyopal raised COP 165 billion ($48.5 million) from Banco Davivienda and Scotiabank Colpatria. Financial close was reached on 12 July 2019. The new turbines are expected to be operational by early 2020.
