These capsules improve thermal storage efficiency and reduce costs in Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) plants by increasing heat transfer surface and energy density, allowing 52% more energy storage than standard materials. The project is supported by the SunShot Baseload Concentrating Solar Power Generation program and aims for commercialization in four to five years. |
