Terrace - Eby Street Staircase Construction

The project will construct and an all-season staircase with a bike rail which will link the upper and lower Terrace at Eby Street. The pathway will connect two main neighbourhoods currently underserved by safe, accessible active transportation options. Currently, access is via either a steep unmaintained dirt path or narrow arterial roads that lack sufficient cycling and walking facilities. The staircase will connect residential areas and schools located on the upper Terrace bench to the parks, businesses, and residential populations located in lower Terrace. Project work includes: - construction and installation of stairway with bike rail, landings, and lighting; - storm main replacement/relocation; - site grading and sidewalk construction; and, - related works.
