Description | The Texas Natural Gas-Fired Power Generation Hub is a power generation project located in Anderson County, Texas, near Comstock Resources' Western Haynesville natural gas operations. The facility will have up to 5.2 GW of natural gas-fired generation capacity, capable of serving up to 5 GW of large-load demand. The project is a collaboration between Comstock Resources and NextEra Energy, and will be owned jointly by Japan and the U.S. under a joint trade agreement. The project aims to deliver dispatchable power at scale to serve large-scale users such as data centers and advanced manufacturing, while avoiding upward pressure on electricity bills for consumers. |
