The objectives of the Education for All-Fast Track Initiative Program Project for Togo are to: 1) increase coverage of and retention in basic education, 2) support improvements in the quality of teaching, and 3) strengthen institutional and community capacity in implementation and management of the project. There are three components to the project. The first component of the project is access and retention. Specifically the component will apply the new construction strategy developed by the Ministry of Primary, Secondary Education and Literacy (MEPSA) during the preparation of the Education Sector Plan (ESP). The second component of the project is inputs for quality. This component supports critical inputs for improving quality, as referenced in the analytical work prepared. The third component of the project is institutional strengthening. Strengthening of the school building management capacity and supervision of the Ministry and of the communities comes under this component.
