Description | Su Pan 1 Hydropower JSC was planning the development of the 20MW Thac Xang hydropower plant, Bac Giang river in Hung Viet commune, Trang Dinh district, Bac La commune, Van Lang district and Hong Phong commune, Binh Gia district, Lang Son province. The project was expected to produce 76,350 MWh annually. The project consisted of two turbines of 10.363 MW each. Commissioning was expected for April 2013. The electricity tariff was estimated at 777.64 VND per kWh ($0.0373 per kWh). Construction period was 3 years, lifespan was 30 years. A PPA with EVN was signed. The Investment license was awarded in June 2009. The first EPC contract was signed in September 2010. Total investment cost was VND 432,791 ($20.8 million). FC was unknown but estimated here at September 2010 (signing of EPC contract).
