Thacker Pass Electrification Project

ABB has been selected by Lithium Americas Corp. as the electrification partner for the Thacker Pass Project in Nevada, which is home to the largest known measured and indicated lithium resource and proven and probable reserve in North America. The project involves providing a comprehensive suite of latest-generation electrification technologies including switchgear, motor control centers, variable speed drives, auxiliary power distribution packages, and a site-wide power management system integrated within optimized electrical buildings. These solutions are designed for durability and performance in remote, demanding environments and are integrated with ABB's digital platforms to optimize energy use, asset health, and operational productivity.
