Description | The Thacker Pass lithium mine project in Humboldt County is entering a new phase of construction. Between May and August, about 100 pipe rack modules will be transported from CarWil's manufacturing facility in Winnemucca to the mine site. Oversized equipment shipments, known as 'superloads', will begin, with the Nevada Department of Transportation posting permitted shipment timeframes. The project aims for mechanical completion in late 2027 and currently has over 1,100 workers on-site with 24/7 construction operations. |
