Thacker Pass Lithium Project Automation

Emerson has been selected by Lithium Americas Corp. to provide comprehensive automation and technical services for the Thacker Pass lithium mine and processing facilities in northern Nevada. The automation aims to help develop the mine to enable a U.S. supply of lithium, a critical raw material for batteries powering electric vehicles and renewable energy storage. The project includes intelligent field measurement instrumentation, process control hardware and software, valves, and reliability technologies to optimize production, enhance safety, reduce downtime, and minimize environmental impact. Construction is underway with Emerson and Lithium Americas working closely to prepare for commissioning.
