Description | As of 2012, the Thai Solar Energy Co was invested to build, own and operate 2 concentrating solar thermal plants with a projected completion date by 2014. Equipment supply had been selected for 5 MW TSE 1 and 9 MW TSE 2 projects to be located in Kanchanaburi and Supahnburi provinces. Thai Solar Energy was 53% owned by PM Energy and 25% by Wave Entertainment, with other investors holding 22% of the equity. The projects would sell power to the local state utility under a 10 year PPA with the Very Small Power Producer (VSPP) program, whereby an USD 0.26/kWh "Adder" is applied to the price of power. Total project cost for the the two facilities was approximately THB 940 million (USD 30 Million), and THB 1.3 billion (USD 42 million) for TSE 2.
