Thames Water Chile

completed

ANSM, a Thames Water operating subsidiary, provides water and sanitation services to 30 localities in the VII Region of Chile under a 30-year concession contract awarded in 2001. Because potable water service is already universally provided, the project’s principal aim is to finance the expansion of the sewerage network and the construction and commissioning of wastewater treatment infrastructure. This is expected to result in important environmental and health benefits and improvements in the living standards of the 920,000 inhabitants of the concession, of which a significant proportion is poor.
