SPV is Thar Power Company Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the sponsor Shanghai Electric. Total investment in the project is in the amount of $ 1.912 billion, of which $ 478 million is provided by the sponsor, while the rest is secured by a consortium of banks including China Exim Bank, China Development Bank, Habib Bank and ICBC. The power purchase agreement is signed between the sponsor and Central Power Purchasing Agency (Pakistan) for an undisclosed period of time.
