Description | The Abbey is a condo conversion project in a former 19th-century church building located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. The building, originally completed in 1888 in the gothic revival style and designated as a historic district by the city's Landmarks Preservation Commission, was converted to rentals in 2016 and later purchased by KSR in 2024 for conversion into 12 luxury condos. The project preserves many original architectural features such as stained glass, wooden pews turned into staircases, and the bell tower converted into a kitchen. The condos range from studios to three-bedrooms, with prices starting at $1.195 million for studios and $3.85 million for three-bedroom units. The renovation includes new kitchens, bathrooms, HVAC systems, private outdoor spaces, a larger common courtyard, and a refreshed gym. |
