Description
Description | The Amusement: Whodunnit? is a multiplayer VR murder mystery set in a glamorous yet eerie 1920s amusement park on a remote island in the North Sea. As guests at an extravagant soirée, players are thrust into an interactive mystery when a shocking murder occurs. Each player assumes the role of a unique character—an artist, a journalist, a socialite, or a mechanic—each with their own hidden motives, secrets, and personal flashbacks. Unlike traditional mystery games, The Amusement: Whodunnit? uses asymmetrical storytelling, where every player experiences different parts of the narrative. Flashbacks reveal key information to individual players only, meaning that each character holds a piece of the puzzle—but who is telling the truth? Through social deduction, interactive dialogue, and environmental investigation, players must collaborate (or deceive) to uncover the killer before the night ends. Built for free-roam VR arcades and multiplayer platforms, the game supports co-located VR gameplay, making it ideal for Location-Based Entertainment (LBE) venues. It utilizes cutting-edge gesture-based interactions, and immersive voice communication, ensuring deep player engagement. With a unique Art Deco-inspired watercolor aesthetic, a dynamic branching narrative, and a theatrical blend of suspense and humor, The Amusement: Whodunnit? offers a unique player experience. The game is a companion experience to the upcoming single-player title The Amusement, creating exciting cross-marketing opportunities for both home VR users and arcade players. Launching on LBE platforms such as SynthesisVR, HeroZoneVR, and Spawnpoint, The Amusement: Whodunnit? is set to redefine social VR storytelling, blending cinematic mystery with immersive, role-driven gameplay. |
