Description | Lincoln Center is undertaking a $335 million redesign of its western edge around Damrosch Park, including the construction of a new 2,000-person outdoor amphitheater called The Baron Theater. The project will transform the area into a landscaped park with gardens, groves, public gathering areas, and interactive water features. The redesign aims to make the campus more accessible and welcoming by removing the wall along Amsterdam Avenue and adding open entrances, green spaces, and expanded sidewalks. The project is part of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Lincoln Center West Initiative and is expected to be completed by summer 2028. |
