Description
Description | The Cross Alp-Mediterranean Green Deal is a cross-border project conceived by CCI VAR (Var Chamber of Commerce and Industry), in collaboration with 3 other partners: a pilot area, community of municipalities, Coeur du Var and, for Italy, CCI of Genoa with its pilot territory, the city hall of Genoa. The covid 19 pandemic has had a very marked impact on the financial situation of companies in Europe. They have had to face closures or functional restrictions that have impacted on their production and growth. Rarely in recent history have companies been obliged to face uncertainty about their future at such a deep level. At the same time, a strong awareness of the urgency to make changes in the ways of working and producing came up, pushing the European countries to work hard on the energy transition of companies and territories. This project aims at making economic recovery and ecological transition compatible, helping companies and especially VSEs to adapt to new environmental measures quickly. Starting from a local level, partners will support companies in their transition by dealing with some strategic points: the circular economy, green mobility and energy, with a focus on European funding for energy transition and knowledge of the prerogatives required. This project has a strong cross-border scope and aims at creating synergies and virtuous cycles between companies, but above all at making them operational on all these issues. Following the specific local green deal, a tailor-made diagnosis will be created to understand their state of transition readiness and improvement areas. A large panel of 200 companies will be accompanied, coached, and assisted to create synergies and improve good practices in the long term. More generally, the Cross Alp-Mediterranean Green Deal is a pilot project which has the ambition to expand and apply this methodology to the Euro-region of the Mediterranean Alps by supporting the European Union’s 2030 vision. |
