To build a multi-purpose 4368 sq foot building that will have space devoted to employment services and skills Partnership Fund (SPF), an artisan market space for Social Enterprise, Epekwitk Lanyards, demonstration and retail space for Social Enterpricse Projects and local artisans, commercial kitchen for Social Enterprise - Epekwitk Gardens and preserves to prepare preserves for retain, cater meetings, events as well as food service window in peak tourism season, satellite office space for Mi’kmaaq Confederacy of PEI and professional office space for Abegweit First Nation. The aim of the project is to provide an opportunity for local people to work and create on the reserve with an opportunity to sell in the retail space. It will improve access and increase the quality of cultural and community infrastructure for indigenous peoples living in PEI. Recipient has changed the surface area of building to 8,295 square feet.
