AddSmart 2.0 – Advancing Digital Maturity and Innovation in North Denmark’s Manufacturing Sector AddSmart 2.0 is the continuation and strategic advancement of North Denmark’s European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH), designed to accelerate the digital and green transformation of manufacturing companies and public sector actors, with a focus on improving their competitiveness and strengthening regional business. Fostering growth in a region with untapped potential for productivity growth and digitalisation, AddSmart 2.0 delivers targeted services that lower adoption barriers and drive the uptake of advanced technologies such as AI, edge computing, automation, and data-driven systems. The project follows a structured client journey, starting with awareness-raising and screening, and supported by a set of high-quality basic services that ensure accessibility and continuity throughout the process. These include the AddSmart AI Help Desk, which provides first-line AI guidance; access to the Digital Transformation Accelerator (DTA) resources; and connection to EU-level infrastructures such as the AI Factories, TEF Projects, AI-on-Demand Platform and the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) to name a few. Services are coordinated and quality-assured through monthly internal Case Panel meetings, where partners collaboratively assess client needs, align with the four core EDIH service pillars: Test Before Invest, Skills and Training, Access to Finance, and Innovation Ecosystem & Networking, and ensure that clients are effectively matched with the most relevant expertise and support mechanisms. AddSmart 2.0 aims to deliver measurable impact through increased digital maturity, improved productivity, enhanced digital skills, and sustainable technology adoption — while strengthening business growth, leveraging funding opportunities, and expanding access to EU AI infrastructure through active ecosystem collaboration.
