The European Union migration policy

The European Union (EU) is a unique integration association in which member states coordinate laws on a wide range of issues, including migration policy. For a long time, the EU was seen as an example of success, stability and prosperity. The EU has been consistently shaping its foreign policy with the goal of effectively managing migration, involving in the cooperation of the country of departure and transit of migration flows. By taking a preventive approach, the EU sought to create a system that provides predictable and controlled migration. However, recently the EU has faced a number of problems related to the inconsistency and mismatch` of European foreign and immigration policies, which led to the migration crisis in Europe. Studying the EU migration policy will allow us to identify the positive experience of migration management and using it in Kazakhstan.
