Description

Description

Taking place in Bulgaria, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia, the main objective of this project is to strengthen the citizen engagement of LGBTIQ+ people from Central and Eastern Europe in the visioning and the formulation of European strategic policy context, particularly in areas which directly impact them. The project is inspired by and built on the EU’s initiative on European citizens’ panels, which is part of the legacy by the big initiative The Conference for the Future of Europe (2021-2022). The Qu(C)EEr Future project has adapted the concept and this adaptation reflects the intervention offered: - Foresight workshops Will be organized in each of the six project countries, bringing 30 LGBTIQ+ from the respective country (180 in total). The workshops will develop bold, queer visions for the EU’s future and identify policy/practice gaps to get there. - Internation Queer Citizens’ Panel 1 The first part of the International Queers Citizens’ Panel will take place in Hungary and will bring 40 participants from all other partner countries. The event will be used to share visions of queer future and process, analyse and prioritize gaps in policy and practice, coming up with general directions for policy and interventions. - Co-design workshops Co-design workshops) will be organized in each of the six project countries, bringing 30 LGBTIQ+ people (180 in total) who willdeliberate and design specific ideas for interventions and policy suggestions. - Internation Queer Citizens’ Panel 1 The second part of the International Queers Citizens’ Panel will take place in Bulgaria and will bring 40 participants. Based on the results of the co-design workshops, the panel will result in developing LGBTIQ+ Citizens’ Report with recommendations for EU institutions, national governments, and civil society. In the final stage two key results are disseminated: 1) Final LGBTIQ+ Citizens’ Report 2) Project learning package on LGBTIQ+ participation processes
