The future is blue in the Svinesund region

Blue growth is the name of the European Commission’s long-term strategy to support sustainable growth in the maritime and maritime sectors as a whole. Based on the strategy, the project owners Svinesund Committee and Fredrikstad Municipality in the one-year project will investigate the possibilities of creating sustainable border-regional innovation environments in the blue economy. The project will identify companies and involve competence environments that want and can participate in the further development of blue growth in the Svinesund region. The aim is that the results of “The Future Is Blue” should eventually lead to a larger cross-border regional project focusing on creating border-regional innovation environments that strengthen the competitiveness and growth of the blue economy: where researchers, companies and public organisations cooperate on growth, increased competitiveness and value creation.
