Description

COVID-19 pandemic has disproportionately affected people that are already in situations of vulnerability and marginalization such as people on the move. In many countries, displaced people are among those most at risk of experiencing negative impacts of the pandemic regarding their ability to access the rights to health, decent work, social protection, and to have their freedom of movement and other fundamental human rights guaranteed. The recent events in Ukraine and the consecutive influx of refugees have intensified the need for a comprehensive multiprocessors resilient response mechanisms and processes based on the concept of preparedness and prevention. The Jean Monnet Moduel “ReVive” responds to the need for an in dept research and teaching at the Post Covid management of refugees, migrants and displaced people focusing on three main axes: human rights, and health coupled with the necessity to design practical resolutions. Issued from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens it marks a turning point in promoting collaboration within the Media and Communication Department, the Law School, the School of Health Sciences as well as the Department of Political Science and Public Administration. Through the development of a groundbreaking interdisciplinary educational activities such as Summers School, Hands on Courses, Field Exercises, and Speech Debate the JMM prioritizes recovery and resilience in the post-covid era. in EU. It adopts innovative teaching methodologies and target students as well as professionals who do not automatically encounter European Studies using adult learning techniques and focusing on experiential learning by exploring the 21st century skills. The project aims to guarantee that “no one will be left behind” in the post covid era under the auspices of the European Union.
