Description
Description | The project Future Skills for Vocational Education and Training in Europe (FUSION) aims at advocating EU policy reforms focused on Vocational Education and Training (VET), and to foster the capacity building of VET organisations and professionals in key domain areas, such as the twin transitions, inclusion, internationalisation and innovation, in line with the main purposes of the European Education Area 2025 and other key policies and strategies for VET. FUSION purposes and activities are fully aligned with EfVET's Strategic Directions, with EfVET internal initiatives (including Thematic Teams, Working Groups, Gender Equality Task Force, International EfVET Annual Conference, Masterclasses, Seminars, Study Visits, Position and Policy Papers, etc.), and with initiatives promoted in collaboration with other key stakeholders (e.g., Cedefop, UNESCO-UNEVOC, the European Training Foundation, VET4EU2 Platform, Lifelong Learning Platform), aiming at promoting capacity building and collecting valuable inputs, to be shared with working groups of the European Commission's (EC) policy domain. In conclusion, FUSION offers the opportunity to foster the VET sector with a twofold approach: consolidating advocacy and policy activities, in the perspective of promoting a confederation of VET Associations in Europe, setting agreements with relevant institutions experienced in VET, and promoting innovation through various and rich peer-learning activities. FUSION brings together various essential elements of the VET sector across Europe with one key objective: making VET recognised as a first quality choice of education, promoting a sense of pride about working and learning in VET. |
