Description
Description | The proposal aims to promote the teaching and research on the EU and its green transition in science and engineering universities in China. The project will construct the CTAR Mode. In terms of course design and teaching, a “Knowledge—Cognition—Understanding” curriculum system will be established. For undergraduate students, particularly those in the fields of science, engineering, and medicine, two courses will be offered, including The European Integration and the European Union and The Introduction to the European Green Deal and the EU-China Green Cooperation. For master’s students, The Studies on the Climate Governance and Climate and Diplomacy of the European Union will be offered. In terms of tutorials, the project will build upon the existing political science master’s program by adding the EU Studies track and developing a tailored training plan to strengthen guidance for master’s and doctoral students in their research on European issues. In terms of event planning, the project will collaborate with European universities to organize the Winter School program, addressing the students’ need to combine theoretical learning with practical application. Additionally, international academic conferences and the EU Day events will be held to promote academic exchanges and facilitate dialogue between the academic community and society. And Jean Monnet Project Exchange Meetings will be organized to enhance horizontal communication between project leaders and improve the overall execution level of the new project. In terms of research, the project will focus on the study of European integration and the EU, with an emphasis on in-depth research into the EU’s green transition, climate governance, and China-EU green cooperation and on producing innovative research outcomes. The project will further enhance the visibility of the EU in science and engineering universities and foster the interdisciplinary development of EU studies in China. |
