TIMES, The Independent Movement for Electronic Scenes is the next step of the previous Europe Creative cooperation: We are Europe. With the strength of its 6 years of collaboration, this new cooperation brings together European festivals & forums that are mainly dedicated to electronic music and digital arts. TIMES starts a new innovative way to cooperate, welcomes new partners and territories in its consortium. This unique electronic music festivals’ partnership aims to shape long and sustainable artists’ residencies for original creations at a European level. To do so, TIMES will set up a Decentralized Autonomous Organisation (DAO) to rely on its partners’ expertise to build capacitation towards the partners and artists within the sector. These unique creations will be highlighted at the festivals and events in Europe and overseas, but also on the ‘We are Europe media’ platform which brings new narratives for European culture. This multi-level cooperation will contribute to structure the electronic scenes in Europe and beyond to meet the challenges of their times. Indeed, this is the time to focus on making creation and transnational circulation in a more sustainable approach with co-productions and artistic residencies. TIMES wishes to bring innovation in the practices of electronic music festivals in a context of permanent crises. It is time to take the responsibility to change our practices, to improve ourselves and be more resilient, to address important topics such as sustainability, inclusion, or gender equality and to create new links with our audiences and communities, from the local to the international level. With all its activities (peer learning & DAO, co-curation and artistic creations), TIMES aims at becoming a strong framework for developing cooperative transnational projects, to amplify the voices of young creators and artists participating, and to make significant changes in the music festival sector.
