Description
Description | The project establishes the Jean Monnet Chair in Sustainable EU Economy, the topic that is highly actual today, but is often neglected in curricula of business schools. The Jean Monnet Chair will generate knowledge and insights on EU efforts to develop a low carbon, more resource efficient, strong and resilient economy that supports development of a climate-neutral, green, fair and social Europe. The project will prepare a textbook on sustainable EU economy for higher education students in international business schools. The project will innovate curricula of international business studies by updating EU subjects and adding EU perspective to other courses. The Jean Monnet Chair will employ a problem-based and socially engaged teaching method and will aim for a more inclusive and interactive learning. The project will promote excellence in teaching and research by preparing a manual on integration of EU subjects into international business curricula and sharing experience with other business schools worldwide. The Jean Monnet Chair will foster dialogue between academia and society and will bring the EU closer to the public by providing a meeting place for debate, sharing of knowledge and people-to-people dialogue. The project will organize two Jean Monnet seminars on sustainable EU economy and a series of open to public Jean Monnet sessions and Jean Monnet lectures and debates on EU actual issues. The Jean Monnet Chair will attract more and new learners and increase the interest in deepening the knowledge on the EU and sustainable EU economy by offering graduation, post-graduate, and PhD research assignments – Jean Monnet research projects. The active engagement in communication, outreach and dissemination activities will spread knowledge about the EU and will promote EU values and active European citizenship. The established Jean Monnet teaching and research community will ensure continuation, sustainability and the long term impact of project results. |
