Description
Description | Transnational distribution project aimed at building upon BO success of A WHITE, WHITE DAYand GODLAND, supporting audience building and wider distribution of THE LOVE THAT REMAINS by Hlynur Pálmason (Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, France 2025), which premiered in Cannes Première official selection in 2025. The project spans 26 European territories: all high production capacity territories (France, Germany, Italy, Spain), majority of medium-capacity countries (Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Sweden, Norway), and majority of low-production capacity territories across Western, Eastern, Nordic, Baltic, and Balkan regions. The project encompasses all major language groups in collaboration with 25 top-tier, art-house distribution companies. The releases are planned to take place between November 2025 – April 2026, with coordinated timing aligned with key festival events and potential awards campaigns. WP1 covers the scope of activities carried out by New Europe Film Sales and the coordination team to ensure proper coordination across tasks and partners to achieve the overall project objectives within time, quality and budget constraints as well as to increase the impact of the project on THE LOVE THAT REMAINS' distribution prospects in unsold territories. The main objective of the project is to prolong and boost the availability of European art-house cinema by providing third party releases (WP2) with 1. extra logistic/coordination support of the project team and 2. financial support from the Films on the Move program at the level of max. 70% of incurred PAs, allowing distributors to economically maintain their work with high-quality, diverse, socially relevant European art-house titles. |
