THE LOVE THAT REMAINS is the 4th feature fiction film from Icelandic writer/director Hlynur Pálmason. Produced by long-time collaborator Anton Máni Svansson from Join Motion Pictures (IS) in collaboration with Katrin Pors from Snowglobe (DK). Join Motion Pictures and Snowglobe have collaborated already on Pálmason's three last film projects. Objective: Co-develop a unique film throughout four seasons ready for pre-production and shooting period for the Spring of 2024. Activities: We aim to shape a feasible marketing strategy, finance the film locally and internationally and break down the budget and schedule for the upcoming shoot. We will hire our key cast and creatives. A big component of the development is script research, writing, editing, and consulting. A Location Manager, Production Designer, Costume Designer, and a Hair & Makeup artist will all be involved in the development phase. Our Director will work closely with our DOP, sound designers, and Editor in development as well. Persons benefiting: We have estimated around 650 workdays divided between approximately 30 roles for the development of the film. Outcome: We are prepared to start pre-production. Meaning, that we would like to have financed the film to an extent, developed an interesting marketing strategy, and attached key roles to the cast and crew. We have creatively prepared the shooting period with an interesting script and concept. We believe that this process will be both sustainable and cost-effective as we will have multiple procedures in place.
