Description | The “PECUCS” module aims to promote teaching, knowledge, research on the issues of European citizens’ participation in the definition and implementation of the European Union climate strategy. PECUCS has a multidisciplinary approach, its team is composed of established scholars of European Union Law, International Law, Sociology and Philosophy of Law, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Economics from the Universities of Bari, EU (IT, ROM, PORT) and third Countries (ALB). The teaching activities and events will offer a range of meeting open to students, academia, civil society, policy makers. The activities will take place in the Master's and Bachelor's Degree Courses, in the PhD and Master' Courses of Law, Political Science, International Relations and Economics; they will allow simultaneous participation in the classroom and online to attract students and the public from the different countries/universities. Participants will receive teaching and information material, will be involved in educational initiatives (e.g. podcasts), will answer short questionnaires on the topics covered to evaluate the impact activities. The aim is to increase the knowledge of EU climate policies and the possibilities of everyone to participate in them and contribute to forming individual climate awareness. The expected outcomes will have an impact on the sense of European citizenship of participants, students and researchers of EU law; they will get EU policies, EU democratic participation, the rule of law, EU common values. A solid Internet-based dissemination and communication plan and the cooperation of local authorities and communication experts will support the project. All content will be freely accessible on the website during the project and after its conclusion. Outputs will include scientific articles and a collective volume in open access. Impact, assessed by a committee, will made known on the Internet channels. |
