Purchase of a new handi-van to replace the 2008 handi-van which is no longer dependable as this vehicle is often out of service due to mechanical problems. Individuals with disabilities require a specialized vehicle to transport them to medical, dental, eye appointments, shopping, conducting business, socializing, attending community functions, etc. There is no other handi-van available to transport disabled persons in The Pas, individuals dependent upon the service therefore have to cancel their appointments if the handi-van is being repaired. A new handi-van is needed as the 2008 model has reached the end of its usefulness.
