Objectives Operate the European Network on Victims’ Rights to maintain and more facilitate the cooperation and coordination among Member State professionals acting in the field of victims’ rights with a special focus on cross-border cases, and to continue the development of a sustainable knowledge base concerning EU legal sources in victim rights, on which policy makers can rely. The Network is being run as a forum for discussing practical issues to enhance the implementation of relevant EU legislation into national law and the more effective practical application of the transposed law. It can also reflect on EU level legislation regarding victim rights and what adjustments are preferable. The aforementioned activities of the Network cover governmental victim support organs of all Member States and are implemented with the overall aim of ensuring access to justice for crime victims in the EU.
