Description | The Promise is a planned mixed-use development at 1501 Southern Ave. in Oxon Hill, Prince George's County. The project will include more than 1,500 residential units, a grocery store, and a daycare center. It is the first major development near the Southern Avenue Metro station since it opened over two decades ago. The project includes at least 50 affordable units and about 475 units set aside for people 55 and over. Construction is planned to start in the fourth quarter of 2026, with the first phase delivering around the first quarter of 2028. |
