Description
Description | As a Network of 43 independent Children’s Rights Institutions, ENOC’s main objective is to protect and promote children’s rights across Europe through a full implementation of the UNCRC and related EU standards. The Network will support its members with capacity-building and training activities to improve their expertise and increase impact. In 2025, ENOC will focus on the Protection and Promotion of Children’s Right to Physical Health and will, through its membership, independently review and promote accountability of State and non-State actors, by addressing issues hindering the realisation of children’s right to the highest attainable standards of health in Europe. A number of annual activities will be organised on the main topic to allow members to exchange practice, and children to express views. ENOC will issue a policy Position Statement on the main subject informed by ENOC members’ experience and ENYA young people’s views. ENOC will also monitor, report and tackle issues affecting children’s rights as they arise throughout the year. All the activities are designed to strengthen the Network’s advocacy and to facilitate the implementation of high child rights standards at all levels especially those on the integration of a child rights-based approach in decision and policy making. ENOC’s objective is to include in a systematic and meaningful way the voices of children and young people, hence its ENYA child participation project. Expected results of ENOC activities include an assessment across the membership of the level of implementation of children’s right to health followed by the adoption of evidence-based policy recommendations; increased knowledge by ENOC members & stakeholders of ad-hoc child rights issues; continuous experience and practice sharing among ENOC members; increased impact of ENOC’s collective voice reflecting children’s views, and empowering their participation in all aspects of ENOC’s work; enhanced promotion of ENOC’s role and activities. |
