With THE REEF we are developing a live-action Adventure/Mystery film for children (9+) and young adults. Following the big success of Eyrie Entertainment’s THE PATH which screened at more than 40 international festivals to date, received many awards and was sold to a wide range of territories across the world, we are collaborating with Stellar Film (Estonia) and Split Second Films (Ireland) to produce another entertaining film for theatrical release that deals with serious topics in a way that is appropriate for young audiences. THE REEF is an adaptation of the Finnish novel “Karikko” by Seita Vuorela (winner of the 2013 Torchbearer Award and the 2013 Nordic Council Literature Prize for Children and Young Adults). The script is being written by Jytte-Merle Böhrnsen (Germany, co-writer of THE PATH). Debut director Phillip Donnellon (Australian living in Germany) is attached to direct. During the project we want to finalize the development of the project to be ready for principal photography in summer 2025.
