Description

Description

The project will be focused on: - improving students and teachers awareness and knowledge on EU matters by embedding them in the ordinary curricula; students will be involved in activities enhancing their knowledge of the EU institutions and how they work; the topics will be proposed in structured modules and using different methodologies such as collaborative learning, workshops, Debate, peer education, Model United activities, seminars, study visits, art and creative produce and experiences, also involving other organisations and bodies in the attempt to give a wider breath to what we propose our students. - Help students get more familiar with shared EU values such as respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, law and rules, respect for human rights, as well as fighting any sort of discrimination. - Develop skills including critical thinking, collaborative attitude, team-work skills and a deeper awareness on being a European citizen. Study trips will be included in the project design with the purpose of giving the students the opportunity to live a first-hand experience of the European institutions, of how they relate to the territory they live in, to authentic issues of everyday life. The project will be developed in three different step corresponding to the three annuities of the call: each year a different group of students and teachers will be selected to take part to the activities. This is done with a view to including a large number of participants in the project and to creating a solid working group within the school that continues to be committed to the dissemination of knowledge related to the European institutions both in the institutions and on the territory. The activities will be carried out with the help of teaching a training bodies and universities providing a valueable academic framework a support.
