The Project will finance the construction to full motorway standard of a 35 km-long section of Corridor Vc. It consists of three functionally dependent sub-sections: (i) a 12 km-long section from Ovcari to Tunnel Prenj, including interchanges Ovcari and Konjic; (ii) 10 km-long Tunnel Prenj dual tube with 2 lanes per direction, and all related ventilation, safety, monitoring and management equipment and installations; and (iii) a 13 km-long section between Tunnel Prenj and Mostar North (not including the interchange). The client is the Motorways of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (the “Client”), a limited liability company fully owned by the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (“FBH”) Government. The Client is responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of motorways and expressways in the FBH. The Project is part of the Corridor Vc which is part of the Western Balkans Core Network and has been established as an extension of the Trans-European Transport Networks (TEN-T) in the Western Balkans. Corridor Vc is the key motorway which connects BiH to EU markets via Budapest in the north and the Port of Ploce on the Adriatic coast in Croatia in the south.
