Description

Description

"The European Union is founded on solidarity, a shared value that creates cohesion and responds to social challenges, such as immigration, pandemics, economic and financial crises, social unrest and/or the conflict in Ukraine. Major emergencies,covid-19, had a strong impact on government systems at all levels and on people in such a way as to produce changes in their behaviour that dissolved the selfishness of individualistic attitudes to highlight the united character of the local and national community. The project ""The Value of Solidarity between resilient societies and civic participation"" -Val.So - starts precisely from this reflection in order to deepen the concept of Solidarity in the resilience of today's societies with respect to local governance systems and operational plans and in relation above all to the future of organised volunteering, the new forms and languages of aggregation and the new profile of the activist volunteer who feels spontaneously motivated to civic participation. It is presented by the Municipality of Guardea together with the associated partner Comité de jumelage Champignelles and is based on a citizen-oriented approach. Val.So is implemented over a period of n 6 months and sees the realisation of local actions and an international exchange event through which the following specific objectives are to be achieved - to deepen the knowledge of the functioning of the EU and the value and channels of Solidarity - to provide opportunities for citizens to exchange views and experiences on different and new forms of civic participation - to discuss possible future strategies based on the principles of social and environmental sustainability; - to define a Recommendation on the ""New Concept of the Volunteer and European Profile of the Activist"" and to produce a testimonial video-photographic album. - to strengthen the link between the two towns of Guardea and Champignelles with a commitment to cooperation in solidarity.
