Description

Description

The Jean Albany College project was selected as part of Call A Project “Indian Ocean Regional Cooperation Projects for Youth — CROI-Youth” for the 2018/2019 school year. Education for sustainable development is part of the curriculum in La Réunion and Seychelles. Students who are insufficiently involved in the theme of sustainable development and the eco-citizen approach, their participation in this operation will make them aware of environmental topics. The operation will be carried out by the two secondary schools, Reunion and Seychelles, with the aim of educating young people about the environment and sustainable development, through journalistic activity. The operation proposes to address three educational dimensions: the citizen dimension, the professional dimension and the cultural dimension. These aspects aim to make students involved in their learning, acquisition and consolidation of their skills and knowledge and to encourage active, positive and innovative pedagogical practices. Finally, through field work, it is a question of raising awareness of the problems related to the sustainable development of local and international territories. Fifty-eight students and eight teachers will participate in this program.
