The project aims at addressing challenges that are common in many countries of the Baltic region: increasing the competitiveness of the artists involved in the Performing Arts sector by on the one hand developing their entrepreneurial behavior, attitudes and skills and on the other hand by helping them test and learn new professional/artistic strategies, gaining confidence and becoming more articulate and creative by supporting synergetic transsectoral collaboration. The two project partners - Estonian theatre organisation Foundation Vaba Lava and New Theatre Institute of Latvia - collaborate with an aim to raise the entrepreneurial spirit of theatre professionals and to explore and introduce new models of arts and business collaboration. During two-year period a lot of trainings will be organised in Estonia and Latvia both for local and for joint audiences. The best professionals both from each country and from other Nordic countries will be invited to give lectures and share their skills. Several practical activities, specialised training courses, shadowings and working periods with mentors will be implemented. The new concept of artistic interventions will be studied with two Nordic experts during a 9-month period and 10 new process leaders in artistic interventions will be trained. Special attention will be turned to communication activities in using different kind of media and promotion channels for achieving the target groups which usually do not cooperate much - theatre professionals/freelancer artists/small theatres with business leaders and company owners, decision makers in municpalities and other organisations.
