Description | The Hydroelectric and Thermal Power Project for Portugal will assist in financing a part of the country's power expansion program 1)from Hidro Electrica do Douro (HED), 2) from Enpresa Termoelectrica Portuguesa (ETP). The total generating capacity of this system will be increased to 1,500 MW. The projects will add 210 MW of hydro capacity and 50 MW of thermal capacity to the Portuguese primary power system.
