Information South Central Railway [SCR] - II has come up with Third Line [new] between Kazipet-Balharshah with electrification [201.04 Km] with a ticket size of 2909 INR Crores. This project in Railway Track sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project New Line between Kazipet-Balharshah [202 km] will pass through Warangal, Adilabad and Karimnagar districts of Telangana [162.5 km] and Chandrapur district of Maharashtra [38.5 km]. The project is part of New Delhi-Chennai Grant trunk route and golden quadrangle. It will cater to the extensive traffic requirement at higher speed than existing and also avoid detention of goods traffic. The section is important from goods loading point of view with FCI siding at Jammikunta, Cement siding at Raghavpuram, Thermal Power Station and SCCL siding at Manchiryal, Coal loading sidings at Bellampalli, Rechni Road etc. The project was sanctioned in the year 2015-2016 at the cost of Rs. 2063 cr. The length of the project is 202 km. It shall have 247 minor bridges, 20 major bridges, 12 RUB/LHS, 1 ROB, 23 station building etc. The scheduled completion is 31.03.2024. Financial progress - 79percentage as on 22/11/2021.
