The Thompson Okanagan Indigenous Cultural Centre - Phase 1 (the Project) will install electric vehicle charging stations and on-site solar panels. Phase 1 is part of a larger multi-phased project that will provide a space for local cultural learning and sharing for members of the community, including First Nations, through community gatherings and displaying of artworks, while ultimately reducing greenhouse gas emissions and providing a net-zero cultural facility. The project works will include: - site restoration and modifications, including the installation of solar panels; and - electric car chargers.
