Description
Description | The consortium proposes the THRIVE project to consolidate Jewish life in Europe through resilience-building and awareness raising activities, contributing to the implementation of the EU Strategy on Combating Antisemitism and Fostering Jewish Life. The project will: - support, empower and build the capacity of national Jewish communities to address the needs and represent the interests of their members, including in the fight against antisemitism and the mainstreaming of gender equality. - increase visibility of Jewish heritage and knowledge about Jewish culture, traditions, and diversity in Europe. - build the capacity of policy-makers to effectively implement measures to foster Jewish life in Europe, in keeping with the commitments and recommendations of the above-mentioned EU Strategy. The following activities will be carried out: • The Community Empowerment Tracker, a comprehensive assessment of the needs of circa 20 European Jewish communities and subsequent report. • A policy paper on concretising and localising the concept of “Fostering Jewish Life” to support policy-makers in the implementation of the commitments of the EU Strategy on Combatting Antisemitism Fostering Jewish Life. • A set of capacity building activities for Jewish communities, including four annual regional trainings and one annual international networking space. • The development of a Toolkit for Community Empowerment. • The creation of an Intangible Jewish Heritage Hub – a virtual and open-ended exhibition of Jewish culture and traditions that will showcase the richness and diversity of European Jewry and will be hosted under the auspices of the European Days of Jewish Culture. By engaging Jewish communities, including youth organisations, policy-makers and practitioners in the field of cultural heritage preservation, the project advances shared EU and Jewish community objectives of fighting antisemitism and hate while fostering Jewish life, diversity and inclusion. |
