Description

Description

Haitai produces rubber modified asphalt (RMA) for new road construction or repair of existing roads. Rubber powder produced from waste tires is mixed into asphalt, and through physical and chemical reactions with specialized modifiers, asphalt is modified into a new type of high performance and environmentally-friendly paving material. The chemical process is proprietary to Haitai. The project consists of expanding the RMA technology business, sponsored by Tianjin Haitai Environment Development Co. Ltd (“Haitai” or the “Company”). Haitai’s technology is captured in the chemical additives that allow for a higher rubber to asphalt ratio and much longer storage time than alternatives. The Company has also progressed with its equipment which is reaching a 6th generation, thus creating a better and cheaper alternative to the existing modified asphalt. Haitai plans to establish 10-13 JVs in the next 3 years in which Haitai will be a majority shareholder, responsible for technical R&D, waste rubber powder and modifier centralized purchase, modified asphalt equipment supply (either rent or sell to JVs); and technical support and maintenance. The JVs, under instruction from Haitai, are responsible for processing and selling modified rubber asphalt.
