Description | On August 8, 2014, a local private company, Surpass Sun Electric Co. Ltd signed an agreement with the Tianmen Municipal Government to finance, build and operate a solar power plant in Tianmen City, Hubei Province. The total investment was US$ 51.38 million (RMB 320 million) and Surpass Sun had a 100% stake in the project. The power generation capacity of the facility was 40MW. Construction commenced in August 2015 and it was expected that construction could be completed within 6 months. When operational, the solar power plant could contribute RMB 6.8 million tax to the government. |
