Ticonderoga Fire Department New Station

The Ticonderoga Fire Department is proposing a new fire station to replace the current Montcalm Street station, which is deteriorating and inadequate for modern firetrucks. The new project features a one-story 12,757 square foot building with an on-site heated storage facility to be used as a temporary station during construction. The total project cost is not to exceed $12,980,000, which is $5 million cheaper than the previous failed proposal. The construction schedule includes design through fall 2026, storage facility completion by January 1, 2027, demolition and abatement in winter 2027, and groundbreaking in late April or early May 2027. The project aims to reduce tax impact compared to the previous proposal, with a phased tax increase over three years.
