Description

Description

The project is intended to strengthen the Village of Tide Head’s water infrastructure. The first part of the project consists of upgrading the water and sanitary pipe infrastructure along Adams Street as the existing infrastructure is outdated, undersized and requires continuous repair. This involves upgrading approximately 764 metres of potable waterline, 965 metres of sanitary sewer line, and 435 metres of storm sewer line. The location is within the province’s wellfield protection plan and therefore has high priority to protect the community drinking water. This work will provide a better quality of water as well as improved fire protection to all residents of the area. The second part of the project consists of replacing a potable water reservoir. This will increase the storage capacity by 300,000 imperial gallons, reduce the water pumps cycling, and increase the volume of water available for potable consumption and fire protection for the community.
